Only two weeks to go...

...Until my 27th birthday. I think I'm having a pre-midlife-crisis crisis. Make sense? It's actually pretty simple. I plan on having my midlife crisis in my late 30s to early 40s. This crisis will include a lotus:

(Not necessarily this color... I also like the green one)

Along with an exciting trip:

(Probably not London... been there and it's not quite the same excitement that I have in mind)

And, possibly a few beautiful young women for company:

(Probably not these exact women. They'll be too old by the time I'm in my midlife crisis, on top of which I think I want more red heads)

The problem presents itself as a financial one. Between the car, the trip, and the women I'm probably going to need $100,000 saved up, and frankly I'm not on track to have that by 42. Some of you may be questioning why anyone would save for their midlife crisis, but I assure you it's very logical... I figure that by the time I'm finished and have resigned to my fate I'll want to live the rest of my life in relative comfort. This would be hard to achieve with an extra $100,000 of debt. And I figure, on the off chance that I actually turn out to be immortal, I can always rack up the debt later.

Anyway, for those of you who are interested, my Amazon wish list is still up at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/14Q3O7619C4V5. I'm also thinking of having some sort of celebration/activity... Haven't really decided what yet, so I'm open to any suggestions.

New Bed!

After years of sleeping on a tiny twin mattress I finally decided it was time to get a real bed. I started off by buying this frame in a queen size:

And then went to costco to buy a mattress. Apparently this part was a mistake. The costco mattress (a Sealy Posturpedic) was a good price, but ended up being much softer then I had hoped. It doesn't do a good job of supporting my back and I think I'm going to have to return it.
The bed looks good though, even if it does take up about 90% of my room.
