San Diego

Today is the last day of my San Diego trip. We ended up going to Tijuana last night and somehow ended up in a strip club. It wasn't particularly high quality, but it became somewhat more entertaining when the American girls decided to take over the stage for a little amateur show.
Anyway, some of my favorite quotes of the night:

Ashley: It tastes like a flaccid penis.
Brendan: Does a flaccid penis taste different then an errect penis?
Ashley: Yes... it’s mainly the texture though.

Drive through girl: Welcome to Jack in the Box, would you like to try a value meal?
Ben: I want an antenna ball!
Drive through girl: [long pause] Is that all?

Ben: What month is it?! I don’t want your crusty old balls!

Ashley: We aren’t leaving until I see a nipple!

Ashley: The baby food is really good! It doesn’t really taste like bananas though...

Lazy weekend

I got my laptop back today. Seems good as new, although I can't connect to my steam account which means no counter-strike. I think it might be because of the download going on upstairs which is making things as simple as bringing up google rather slow. Still, I suppose I should really be doing things more productive then playing video games... like watching the last disc of 24!

Broken Laptop

My laptop stopped working today.. It's no longer able to detect the AC adapter type. After spending 20 minutes in Dells online chat support, the rep determined that the issue was with the mother board and that I would need to send the unit in to be replaced.
This is pretty much the same conclusion that I had come to on my own, but I have a strong feeling that this rep came to this conclusion based on luck as opposed to skill or knowledge. Here is a quick snippet from our conversation. There are a couple lines about shipping and tracking numbers that I removed, but other then that, this is word for word:

{Brendan 12:33:51 PM} will I be getting the same hard drive, complete with data, back?
{Kevin 12:35:55 PM} You need to ship the hard drive.
{Brendan 12:39:22 PM} should I be backing up data first?
{Kevin 12:39:48 PM} Not really
{Kevin 12:42:30 PM} http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins5160/en/SM/hdd.htm#wp1084976 Click this link it has information as how to remove hard drive
{Brendan 12:43:12 PM} why am I removing the hard drive?
{Kevin 12:43:34 PM} So, that you don't loose any data on the hard drive, when you send it in for service
{Brendan 12:43:49 PM} so I'm not sending the hard drive?
{Kevin 12:44:03 PM} That's right

Ash Wednesday

I just realized that yesterday was Mardi Gras, and I didn't see a single nipple all day.
Somehow I feel cheated...

Mmm... free lunch

Apparently Eschelon does reward its lackies for their hard work. Pizza coming in tommorow!

Geocaching III

Steve, Brennian, Shawnie, and I went on our second successful geocaching adventure today. I suppose that technically this one was only halfway successful as it was a two part cache and we only found the first part. The cache was hidden beneath some rocks at the base of a tree in Jack London state park. This cache contained a very nicely made notebook which a whole bunch of riddles which would (supposedly) lead one to the coordinates of the next cache. There was at least one other unrelated cache in the area which might be enough to justify a follow up trip to the park.

Thank God its Friday

Here we are in day two of an outtage. In the old GE days, this would have earned us a free lunch, but I have no idea how or if Eschelon rewards its lackies for dealing with this kind of thing.
On another note, I finally remembered to put in my request for time off around my birthday later this month. I'm going to take the weekend of the 25th off, and head down to San Diego.
